Some of the groups benefitting from our CADL Cares initiative include:
Every Monday, a group visits CADL Leslie to sew and knit slippers, hats and lapghans for Heartland/Hospice patients. Volunteers are always welcome!
Every year our Downtown Lansing branch hosts a Be An Angel Giving Tree for St. Vincent Home for Children. Thanks to our generous staff and patrons, we collected around 150 gifts for the kids!
CADL Holt-Delhi works with a local organization, Give a Kid a Christmas, to host a giving tree with tags for staff and patrons to provide families with gifts.
Some of our branches serve as a collection point for those donating to the Toys for Tots Foundation.
As you may know, this initiative collects new, unwrapped toys throughout October, November and December each year, and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.
Some of our branches provide ongoing collection bins for those donating goods to local food banks in Ingham County. Staff and patrons can contribute monetarily or with non-perishable food donations.
Each month, CADL staff is invited to participate in Dress Down for Charity Fridays. For $1, staff can wear casual attire for a good cause. All proceeds earned will go to the Capital Area Literacy Coalition.
You can find our staff at a variety of events and community programs.
