Strategic Planning
Shaping CADL's Future
We're embarking on a strategic planning process to guide our future and ensure we continue to meet the needs of the communities we serve. With 13 branches across Ingham and Eaton Counties, we're committed to fostering literacy, learning, and community connections through programs and services that are accessible and valuable to everyone.
We’ve partnered with the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) to lead this process using an approach that builds on community strengths and aspirations. Over the coming months, we will engage with community leaders, library stakeholders, and residents through interviews, focus groups, community conversations and surveys to gather insights that will help shape our direction.
How You Can Participate
- Take the Community Survey through April 30 – Share your thoughts about library services and future priorities.
- Join a Community Conversation through March 30 – Participate in an in-person discussion to share your feedback.
- Community Partner Survey – CADL is also gathering input from local organizations and leaders through a separate survey. If you represent a community organization and would like to participate, please contact us.
What This Means for Our Community
- A strategic vision shaped by a broad range of perspectives
- A roadmap to enhance library services and accessibility
- A commitment to ongoing transparency and progress updates
Once the plan is finalized, this page will serve as a central hub for updates, sharing the final strategic plan, and tracking our progress in bringing the vision to life.
Stay tuned for updates and the release of the final plan in Summer 2025.
We Want to Hear From You!
Share your thoughts about the future of CADL in our community survey through April 30, 2024. The 18 question survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete and you will have the option to enter a drawing for CADL apparel once completed.
Community Engagement Report
