What are Launchpads?

A learning tablet that both kids and adults will love.

Every Playaway Launchpad is pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free learning apps and games, providing hours of interactive learning and play.

Capital Area District Libraries' Launchpad collection has a special STEM emphasis. Pre-loaded with a mix of interactive science, technology, engineering, art, and math-based games – this collection will challenge, propel, and open young minds. Designed to help kids develop scientific literacy, the STEM collection enables kids to explore cause and effect, gain a basic understanding of how things work, evolve creativity and visualization skills, strengthen number sense, and so much more.

Kids will love the Launchpad experience, which lets them design a personal avatar before game play and choose an app adventure they're most interested in.

Adults will love that Launchpads are 100% secure, ensuring that will not be exposed to unintended content, and that the informational console will let them monitor how time is spent on the tablet.

A selection of tablets with brain games for adults is also available.
