Board Members
Capital Area District Libraries is governed by a seven-member board, appointed by Ingham County and the City of Lansing.
The board is composed of four residents from Lansing or Lansing Charter Township; one resident from the Meridian Charter Township; and two residents from the balance of the county.
This breakdown is based on population and state equalized valuations of the seven-member districts.

Notice of Virtual Board Meeting
The Capital Area District Library Board has announced that the Wednesday, January 20, 2021 Board meeting at 5:30 PM will be held virtually due to COVID-19 and allowed by Public Act 228 of 2020. Board members and staff will participate in the meeting remotely either by phone or electronic device using Microsoft Teams.

Public Comment
To participate in public comment during the virtual meeting, upon entering the meeting, indicate you wish to take part in public comment in the chat or verbally if on the phone. You’ll be called upon by the Board Chair during the Public Comment sections of the meeting. The Public only will be allowed to address the Board during the Public Comment sections. The Public is allowed three (3) minutes to speak and you must state your name and address slowly and clearly before you start to address the Board.
