August 10 - 16, 2026: The Buzz with Buzzitta

Capital Area District Libraries summer events across Ingham County, including the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge. The Buzz with Buzzitta is our weekly rundown of upcoming free programs at our 14 CADL locations, hosted by Mark Buzzitta.

This week:

• Tuesday, August 11, starting at 10 am at CADL Aurelius: Celebrate your Summer Reading accomplishments! The Kona Ice Truck will be here from 10:30-12:30 to offer free treats and we will have a special library scavenger hunt for prizes, too! While you are here, check out the Friends Book Sale in the Township Hall.

• Saturday, August 15, 10:30 am at CADL Okemos: Strum-n-sing along with the Michigan Capital Ukulele Players. Bring your own uke.

• Monday, August 17, 6 pm it’s a virtual program on Zoom: Rockin' TV: Rock & Roll and Television from Elvis to The Monkees. This program will present a lively survey of the history of how rock and television grew up together. Presented by Brain Rose, Professor emeritus at Fordham University.
