June 29-July 5, 2026: Buzz with Buzzitta

Capital Area District Libraries summer events across Ingham County, including the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge kickoff. The Buzz with Buzzitta is our weekly rundown of upcoming free programs at our 14 CADL locations, hosted by Mark Buzzitta.

This week:

• Tuesday, June 20 at 10:30 AM at CADL Aurelius - Wildlife in Your Backyard with Howell Nature Center. Learn about local wildlife, their characteristics and behaviors, how they benefit us and ways to help them survive.
• Tuesday, June 30th at 11 AM at Ocimeae Lavender Farm - America's 250 Storytime. A special community storytime to say happy birthday to America. Wear stars and stripes and bring a blanket or chair.
• Tuesday, June 30th at 2PM at CADL Haslett - DynaMite Dinosaurs! Dinosaur-themed laughs and magic with audience participation from Ming Louie.
• Wednesday, July 8 at CADL Leslie, CADL Aurelius, and CADL Okemos, Abraham Lincoln is Coming to CADL. Kevin Wood appears as Abraham Lincoln for three CADL programs.
