July 20-26, 2026: The Buzz with Buzzitta

Capital Area District Libraries summer events across Ingham County, including the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge. The Buzz with Buzzitta is our weekly rundown of upcoming free programs at our 14 CADL locations, hosted by Mark Buzzitta.

This week:

• Tuesday, July 21 at 12PM at CADL Okemos, Unearth a Story with Sloan Museum - Pre-K Paleontology. What dinosaur stories will you tell? Practice the art of storytelling as you dig into a dino sensory bin, paint with dinosaur tracks, press “bones” and shells into Play-Doh, and create shape dinos. Suggested for ages 3-5
• Wednesday, July 22 at 11AM at Stockbridge Heritage School, it’s Lansing Hoops! A fun, interactive hula hoop dance program promoting fitness, confidence, and focus through play. Learn tricks, choreography, and games for all ages.
• Thursday, July 23 at 12:30PM at the Williamston Senior Center and at 6PM at CADL Okemos, it’s Carry It On, a Michigan-based tribute band honoring the folk music legacy of Peter, Paul and Mary. They perform iconic hits like “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “If I Had a Hammer” to celebrate the famous trio’s social commentary and musical harmony.
