Part time. 15 hours per week.
Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) provides library services to our local communities seven days per week. All positions except those in the Administrative Offices will require some evening and weekend hours, including Sundays. While this position is currently assigned at the above location, CADL reserves the right to require all employees to be available for assignments at any CADL location.
Salary
$15.04 per hour
Nature of Work
Under the supervision of the Technical Services Supervisor, the Technical Services Clerk confirms the accuracy of incoming library materials orders. This includes unboxing shipments, verifying contents against vendor invoices, ensuring items received match what was ordered, updating order statuses in the library catalog, and preparing invoices for payment. Additionally, the TS clerk will assist the Acquisitions Assistant in other acquisitions activities including, but not limited to, executing orders through vendor websites, creating electronic order records, and running periodic financial reports. The TS clerk will also assist with processing library materials for branch/member use and in online library card registration/renewals.
Education & Experience
- Possession of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- This is an entry-level classification. No specific prior experience required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of concentration and attention detail in a quiet work environment.
