Juneteenth Window Display and Student Art Show Opening

Join the Lansing Juneteenth Celebration Committee and Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) for the opening of Juneteenth Window Display and Student Art Exhibit at CADL Downtown Lansing. The window display was produced by the Juneteenth Education Subcommittee under the Direction of Debra Plummer, under the theme “Juneteenth is not just a Celebration of the Past, but a Pledge for the Future,” inspired by Charles A. Taylor’s, Promise of Freedom. Additionally, approximately 20 student artists will have submissions on display showcasing a range of visual renderings built upon historical interpretations of Juneteenth.
