What's Happening at CADL Aurelius?
Posted on: January 14, 2021
This past year presented many challenges, and I’m so proud of the way that we’ve been able to meet these challenges and find ways to uniquely and safely continue to provide library services. In the midst of much negative news, I want to share some of our positive stories from our branch.
- In December, we hosted nearly 300 cars for a drive-through reindeer visit with staff providing 125 curbside deliveries of holiday items, all during a 90-minute event! It was a magical experience to bring much-needed cheer to our community, even hearing from one family that we were their Christmas celebration.
- We began a new partnership with North Aurelius Elementary School to bring the Student Success Initiative, giving each student a special CADL card regardless of residency! We heard from many parents about the need for these cards and are so happy more children can benefit from the library.
- We created hundreds of Grab & Go bags in 2020 for hundreds of members! These are bags put together by staff with titles we think you’d enjoy based on your preferences.
- We’ve added more services and programs to our offerings. In addition to the On Request items available through curbside pickup, we’re now offering online book discussions and Reminisce programs.
We’re looking forward to more great highlights in 2021.
