Take & Make Kits

Many CADL branches offer a selection of free kits that include instructions and supplies to do a project or enjoy a storytime at home. Covering a variety of ages and interests, they are available to pick up while supplies last. Click on any branch name to see a list of what’s available this season.  Be sure to note dates and age ranges.

Storytime to Go at CADL Dansville (Ages 2 – 6)

Stop by to pick up a themed storytime kit that includes songs, activities, a simple craft and a list of titles appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers. A new theme will be released each week, then available anytime while supplies last.

Creative Writing Kit (Ages 5 & up)

This month’s writing activity is a nature journal.  This kit is released on Monday and will be available while supplies last.

Spice of the Month (Adults)

Spice up your life with some seasonings that may be new to you! Participants will receive a small amount of a different spice each month, plus recipes and reading suggestions. While supplies last.

Available beginning the 1st Monday of each month while supplies last.

Pick Me Up! Postcard

Whether it is a few kind words, an encouraging phrase or a little inspiration, we all could use a bit of positivity to pick us up at times. Help us spread some cheer this summer by designing your very own Pick Me Up! Postcard. From May 1-June 4, pick up a postcard from the Haslett or Okemos Branch and return your postcard design to the library (postcards must be returned by Sunday, June 4). All submissions will be displayed in the library and the winning designs will be printed as postcards and made available at the Haslett and Okemos Circulation Desk for people to take and give to family, friends or whoever may need a little bit of pick me up. This project is inspired by PepTalk Postcards from emandfriends.com.

Teen Lit Kits (Ages 13-18)

Be your own book club! For teens with an active library account, choose two books from our themed display and receive a kit complete with themed activities and prizes. This month explore the theme ‘Revenge’.

Kids Take & Make Crafts (Ages up to 10)

Fun to make crafts on request! Get a free kit from CADL Holt-Delhi with supplies and instructions for a craft, while supplies last.

Teen Make & Take Activities (Ages 10-18)

For teens, come into the library and participate in a new activity specifically for teens. All supplies will be available. Located in the teen section.
