- May 13: The Watch that Made the Dollar Famous, presented by CADL Librarian Tom Moore. In 1892 a company by the name of Robert H. Ingersoll & Bro. started selling what would become known as the Ingersoll Dollar Watch. Targeting the masses and selling at low price of one dollar. The Ingersoll Brothers sold the watch with the tag line, “The Watch That Made The Dollar Famous” as they set out to change the watch industry and the business world.
