Overview
Whether you're learning for school, work, or personal growth, our tools and resources are here to support your goals. These resources are organized into two categories—Learn a New Skill and Research Tools & Guides.
Learn a New Skill
This section provides broad, goal-based learning opportunities for all ages, such as career advancement, language learning and reading readiness. You’ll find resources for Adults, School age children and Preschoolers. The “Premium Resources” on these pages are subscription services that offer up-to-date, authoritative and high-quality content, provided through CADL or the Michigan eLibrary (MeL). “Other Resources” include a variety of useful web-based tools curated by our staff, plus resources you will find at our branches, including workshops and events.
Research Tools & Guides
Our Research Tools and Guides are carefully selected lists of online information and tools for a wide number of subjects, including Automotive, Genealogy and Homework Help. See the full list of topics.
Student Success Initiative (SSI)
SSI allows students in participating districts to get a library card, no matter where they live. The card provides access to valuable digital services such as online tutoring, practice college entrance exams, and language learning, as well as a limited number of physical items.
