Support the Library on Giving Tuesday!

Giving tuesday logo.jpgAfter you’ve had your fill of turkey and loads of side dishes, it’s time to focus on giving back. And what better time than the Tuesday after Thanksgiving: Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a global generosity movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate and offer support to the organizations that matter most to them.

On November 28, 2023, everyone is encouraged to embrace their generosity and make a collective (and incredible) impact in their local community.

Help us continue our mission of empowering our communities to learn, imagine and connect with a Giving Tuesday donation! Your support will help finance early literacy and life-long learning initiatives, enhanced collections, new technologies, renovated facilities, enriched library programming and more.

Cash, check and in-kind donations can be made in person at your local CADL branch, by mail using our donation form (PDF), or online at cadl.org/donate. Thank you for your ongoing support of CADL, and we hope we can count on you on Giving Tuesday!

CADL Member Testimonials:

"I have multiple chronic illnesses, and it [having a library card] has helped distract me and discover different worlds through books. I also love that I can use hoopla to listen to my favorite audiobook, as holding real books for too long is painful." - Anonymous.

"I commute one hour each way to my job in Lansing. CADL Offers nearly an endless supply of audiobooks to make it more productive. I can get two hours of reading time in every day. The $50 a year I spend on my membership for living out of district is the best money I’ve ever spent!" - Nicole H.

"We had a patron thank us for our help in getting a job in another state. He used our computers and internet to apply for the job, as well as our wireless to sit in his car and interview for the job on a laptop. He was very grateful!” - Testimony from a former CADL member, as told by CADL Aurelius Head Librarian Jennifer DeGroat.
