Okemos Branch Youth Area Makeover Means Temporary Closure January 29-Feb 2

The Okemos Branch will be closed January 29-February 2 while youth area undergoes some exciting updates.

What to expect during the closure:

• The Book Drop will remain open for you to return items.
• Holds can be placed on items in the Okemos collection for pickup at other branches or for pickup when we reopen.
• Hold notifications will still be sent through our automated systems as items become available.
• Expiration dates for holds will be extended through February 9 to provide extra time for you to pickup items once we reopen.

When we reopen you can look forward to a refreshed youth area featuring:

• New display shelving replacing the panel walls near the Circulation Desk.
• Lower shelving to help make the youth collection more within reach for our young patrons.
• New seating for families.
• New carpeting in the youth area and event room.

We also encourage you to visit the Haslett Branch during the closure to browse the collection, use the computers, attend a storytime or sit and work at a table.
