Crack Open Your Imagination

LE_June 25 2021_Egg Splat.jpgWhen my 10-year old succinctly stated “I’m starting to get used to the old way of television, which you know is reading,” I chuckled bit. The more I thought about it, the more truth I found in the statement. Reading has been used as a form of entertainment and imagination for a very long time and will continue to do so far into the future.

We like to foster that imagination at the Leslie Branch. We recently completed an Egg Drop Challenge where children created their very own egg drop devices with nothing but recycled materials and their imaginations. Some of their creations blew us away! One even had a double egg carriage. Children have the most unique ability to identity problems and seek imaginative solutions.

Between the Summer Reading Challenge, our plethora of Take & Make kits and events, your bound to find something to let that imagination soar! And while you’re here, check out one of those “old way of television” books. I hear kids can get used to them!
