Building Spaces for Engagement

Community engagement is a primary focus at CADL Leslie. Whether it's reaching someone inside the library, or explaining the cool things that the Summer Reading Challenge has to offer to a cafeteria full of 7th graders, we strive to provide service inside and outside our doors.

To engage little visitors with STEAM activities, we built an Imagination Station complete with a Lego Wall, Marble Run, Keva blocks, and more. This was made possible through a grant from the Len Charitable Fund and private donations.

Community engagement is also a focus of the Friends of the Leslie Library. Their strong sense of community cemented their desire to provide another space to the community where people can relax, read a book, use Wi-Fi, or enjoy a library program.

And provide they did - Thanks to funding from their Annual Spring Book Sales and the Len Charitable Fund Grant, they were able to provide a new patio outside the library!

The patio will be a wonderful addition to the Leslie community for many years to come!
