Abroad in Japan: Ten Years in the Land of the Rising Sun

10 Years in Japan : A Journey

This book follows Chris Broad, an English YouTuber, as he recounts some of his most memorable experiences from over 10 years living abroad in Japan. These experiences can range from figuring out how to teach English to wary Japanese high schoolers to getting his car stuck in the northern Japanese snow or surviving an earthquake, among many other things. It’s funny, interesting, and candid. I would consider it a must-read for anyone interested in applying for the JET (Japanese Exchange and Teaching) program. Whether you’re a prospective applicant or just someone curious about Japan, this could be the book for you!
