At the End of the River Styx

Devastating, heartbreaking, and hopeful- a beautiful portrait of grief and love.

Bash is trying so hard to feel like himself in a world that he no longer feels a part of. Learning he was marked for death by the Ferryman makes a strange kind of sense to him, and there are many times when he feels pretty well resigned to that fate. But Zan couldn't possibly let him die, regardless of the cost to himself. Together they remember what it feels like to be human, and I loved them so dearly I just wanted to reach out and take their hands.
