Tigerlily

The 90s are calling...

Tigerlily is Natalie Merchant’s 1995 debut album, released after her exit from the band 10,000 Maniacs. Some of the singer-songwriter’s most popular (and perhaps overplayed) hits are on it including Wonder, Carnival, and Jealousy, but other lesser-known gems include I May Know the Word, Beloved Wife, Cowboy Romance, and the powerful River, written in response to the media and societal treatment of River Phoenix after his death.   Natalie Merchant is an artist of integrity, and this album is just one part of her musical catalog that continues to hold up 30+ years after its release.
