The Country Under Heaven

A "weird western" with style to spare...

Frederic S. Durbin is a superb fantasist, but each of his books has a unique flavor. This time, he tackles the "weird western" genre, fusing elements of the classic western and weird fiction a la H.P. Lovecraft, following a vision-plagued former Union soldier on a picaresque series of wild and strange adventures. Recommended to all fans of westerns, weirdness or genre mash-ups!
