I won't lie, I initially picked this book up because of its beautiful cover. But the story! It's so good! This is the story of Cleopatra VII, and it's told in her own words. History is often from the perspective of the victors, and Cleopatra aims to change that and get her story right. She challenges what historians have said about her, especially those who purposely painted her in a bad light. It's really a fascinating read, and you'll find yourself immersed in the story.
