Vigil

A surreal full cast audiobook.

This short novel takes place largely at the bedside of a dying oilman who probably directly contributed to the environmental crisis through the spread of misinformation in the service of capitalism and the elite. A spirit, formerly Jill “Doll” Blaine (with her own tragic story) crashes to earth to lookover the dying man and comfort him—but she finds KJ Boone refuses to regret or be consoled. Over the course of the evening spirits and living humans come and go through the room looking for a reckoning and remorse. It’s surreal and fascinating and makes for a wonderful full cast audiobook.
