If you've read my recommendations, you'll know I'm a sucker for anything with the themes of love, grief and death. So here we are again with another beautiful, intimate collection of often-abstract comics. We follow Leavitt on a journey through the loss of their partner through medically assisted death. She used art to process her emotions over the course of two years. Heartbreaking and beautiful, I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it again. My partner definitely thought I was a bit strange as I thumbed through this massive novel with tears streaming down my face. If you need a good cry, give this a try. And hold your loved ones close while you still can.
