Parisian vibes with stunning art

A series of vignettes in vaguely 1930s Paris, following an heiress who is blind and has run away from home and the police officer who takes her under his wing. 

This loose story is quaint yet snappy and gains layers as it progresses, but feels more like a lovely little toast square to the luscious jammy topping that is the art. From the line work to the shading to the judicious use of color, the Style (capital S) of these graphic novels is by turns striking and breathtaking and others, breezily nostalgic. The result is a series that somehow manages to be both jaw-dropping and cozy, and entirely delightful.
