The 1970s Navajo reservation can be a dangerous place.

This series is based on Tony Hillerman's fantastic novels of the 1970s Navajo reservation police.  Zahn McClarnon leads the cast as Leaphorn, and he is amazing.  The show balances the realities of the time period and policing with the spiritual beliefs of the Navajo.  I was transfixed through the whole season.
