This book is an extremely valuable piece of queer history. Although it was originally published in 1993, the message it sends is still extremely relevant to our world today. A very eye opening and educational read that forces you to recognize parts of queer history that are often forgotten. I recommend this to anyone who wants to understand more about lesbian history and butch culture. Even if you are not a part of the queer community, I still believe that this is a great read with an interesting story and an extremely important message that can benefit everyone.
