Truly enjoyable story of an impassioned club and actual information on comics and cartooning

Telgemeier does it again with another great combo of story and illustrations. I loved how each character represented a different type of comic kid that is out there: the idea machine that struggles to draw, the drawer that struggles to put it all together, the perfectionist who can only see their flaws, and the passionate who doesn’t get support from home. They all come together to form a club at school, and the librarian guides them, and the reader, through how comics are made and different styles of cartooning; delightfully blending story and instruction. Great on many levels for fans of graphic novels.
