Nettle and Bone

Absolutely loved this book (and everything I've read by author T. Kingfisher)!  T. Kingfisher's character development is top-tier and can only be matched by her worldbuilding.  In this fantasy novel, we follow an almost nun as she gathers a group of almost heroes to save her older sister and topple a throne that's been protected by centuries of magic.  You meet original fairytale creatures, explore one-of-a-kind settings, and get to fall in love with a magical dog and a demonic chicken.  Win-win-win!
