A fun and vibrant family movie that can help introduce the concept of racism to children.

The movie starts with the main family immigrating to a new country where their names are immediately changed from their native language to be easier for other people to understand, echoing Anglicization in America.  There are a lot of small examples like this throughout the movie that are passed off as fun little quips, but a lot of people will recognize them as real-life experiences.
 
The movie is really fun and the colors are bold and vibrant, the characters original and quirky. It has a really great message about accepting others despite our differences. Also, I cried at the end because of who I am as a person. Highly recommend!
