PinkPantheress distills the musical essence of the Y2K resurgence into this mixtape. It's a short and sweet collection of bite-size sounds, with no track even reaching 3 minutes--no wonder it was such a natural fit for TikTok, but the compact size also makes it a breezy, enjoyable listen in its own entirety. Her songwriting and vocal delivery are all the more effective for their simplicity, which lends the music a nostalgic and relatable feeling; and though many of the songs touch on sad feelings, the sweetness of her bedroom pop and drum n' bass production help it all go down like syrup. I highly recommend this for fans of other pop artists in the Y2K resurgence era such as NewJeans, many of whom probably took some inspiration from here.
