"Oh Captain, My Captain," seize the day and make your life extraordinary (start with this movie!)

Maybe my poetry background makes me biased, but my life was changed the first time I saw this movie in a high school English class. Centered around a group of friends attending a stuffy New England boarding school, both the boys' academics and lives are shaken when an unconventional teacher (the late, wonderful Robin Williams) dares them to challenge the status quo and "suck the marrow out of life" a la poetic greats such as Thoreau, Whitman, and more. DPS is my quintessential "rainy autumn day" movie where I want nothing more than to curl up on my couch with a mug of something warm. Get ready to laugh, cry, fall in love and who knows, possibly change your name to "Nwanda."
