Ruined

A marriage of convenience in which two people will definitely not fall in love with each other.

Ruined is a softly beautiful Regency romance in a graphic novel format. Catherine Benson is the subject of many rumors - mostly about her lost virtue - and when she weds Andrew Davener as a last resort, she doesn’t expect any emotions to come into it. On his part, the Davener family estate has fallen into disrepair and Andrew sees Catherine’s considerable dowry as the best way to restore the estate and holdings. As the pair gets to know each other and bond over estate restoration and budgets, will feelings begin to form? (Of course they will; this is a romance novel, after all!) 
Vaughn has created a love story between two people who have been burned by old feelings before and aren’t quite sure what to do with the new ones that are developing. I really enjoyed the illustrations, as well - the color palette used for the book is a very quiet and romantic one.
