Perfect for End-of-Summer Feels

As someone who has followed Lana since her Born to Die era, I think 2019’s Norman F****** Rockwell! is a beautiful addition to her discography. For those of us feeling the summertime sadness, this album complements it well with beachy themes and wavy vocals. While she has often channeled vintage Americana in her music and art, this album feels more like personal nostalgia than an ode to a romanticized idea of the past. My favorite track is “Mariners Apartment Complex,” and I recommend the listener also gaze into your darkness and deepness- all the things that make you who you are.
