This book is one of the most unique reading experiences I have ever had.

A librarian, with a love for rare and unique books, embarks on a journey to learn more about the most taboo books out there; those bound in human skin. Mystery and controversy surround these books: Who bound them? Why? Should they be preserved for future generations to study? Or should they be buried or destroyed to honor those who died for their making? This book focuses on the science and history aspects of these tomes rather than the gore or macabre, but it is not for the faint of heart. Fans of Mary Roach will love this title. Could make a great book club book and the audiobook is extremely well done also.
