A Cosmology of Monsters

"Life makes monsters of everyone, but it's always possible to come back."

This book is difficult to categorize. It’s classified as “horror” but it’s not a book full of jumpy scares as much as it’s an homage to the horror genre and horror fans. It’s also a wonderful coming of age story told in a style reminiscent of Stephen King’s earlier work. There are great fantasy elements that I loved and wasn’t expecting. Overall, it was a beautiful story about life, loss and those that matter most to us.
