Ophie's Ghosts

A wonderful spooky tale for all ages!

This was my first Justina Ireland book, and it did not disappoint. I was moved to tears both within the first couple of pages, and the story’s conclusion. The story follows a young girl, Ophie, who can see ghosts everywhere she goes. The book is historical fiction (set in Pittsburgh in the early 1920’s) and is also part murder mystery. Justina Ireland managed to create a memorable story with unexpected twists and turns, while also providing invaluable lessons on racial trauma in America. This is a great read for all ages and a fantastic spooky story for spooky season!
