This lovely account of love and loss is moving and heartwarming. Tembi Locke reads the audiobook and her talent and warmth are soothing despite some of the heart wrenching moments shared here. Never melodramatic, but simply rendered, like great Sicilian cooking, and wholly vulnerable. This is a love letter to a place (Sicily), a family (hers and her in-laws), food (Sicilian) and most of all, a man (Saro, her husband). Readers of Cheryl Strayed or Frances Mayes would eat this one up.
