Alan Gratz never disappoints.

These books are categorized as Juvenile titles but i've read several and enjoyed all of them.  This follows several young people in different parts of Europe on D-Day.  Each of their perilous stories intersect at some point.  The time forces each of these young people to be brave and do things most of us could never dream of doing.  Great WW2 read.
