Husband and wife duo Johnnyswim have put together a wonderful album that spotlights their individually beautiful voices, mature songwriting exploring both sides of their relationship, and fabulous production by Malay (Frank Ocean, Sam Smith). “Bridges” calls for jumping all in and burning bridges, “Long Gone” is a ballad much more in the traditional folk vein. “Lost in Translation” is a lovely pop duet. “The Last Time” is a driving R&B/pop song featuring Michael McDonald. “Same Old Thing” is the haunting and adamant end of a relationship. Moonlight is a complete package for a mellow afternoon.
