Magnus' life gets more interesting once he dies.

The Sword of Summer is the first book in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series.  Magnus is a sarcastic homeless teenager who finds out that his family has links to the Norse gods.  His journey is so much fun to witness, and the reader does a fantastic job with the work.  This is a great listen on a family road trip.
