Transporting and peaceful are two terms I'd use to describe this lovely picture book.  This Caldecott Medal winning work begins with the story of the lighthouse and expands to the keeper and his growing family.  The pictures are as evocative as the text and they combine to make this book a true pleasure to enjoy.
