Buck 'em: The Music of Buck Owens (1955-1967)

The line from John Fogerty’s “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” is only one example of how Buck Owens – singer, songwriter, guitarist, and touchstone of the Bakersfield Sound – influenced American music in the 1960s and 70s.  This 2-CD set includes most of Owens’s hits from the height of his career, including “Act Naturally,” (later covered by the Beatles), “I’ve Got a Tiger by the Tail”, and “Love’s Gonna Live Here” (covered by everyone from Waylon Jennings to Tanya Tucker).
