With the aptly named Just One Damned Thing After Another, Ms. Taylor captures the adventurous reader with characters you care about, stories that entertain and intrigue, a writing style that makes me sit up and stay up late.  Her series features an institute of historians who study historical events in contemporary time (don't call it time travel), and the scientists, librarians, costumers, and security that make each mission possible. Naturally well prepared and equipped for each jump in time the staff of St. Mary's manages to (somehow) get into trouble each time. Read, learn, and enjoy.
