We’re missing something wonderful on the breaks of the Late Show!

Jon Batiste’s latest albums explores his varied influences including Boogie-woogie, classical, gospel and jazz.  He takes a turn on familiar favorites such as “What a Wonderful World” and “The Very Thought of You” and “Saint James Infirmary Blues.” He adds new material like the sweet “Mr. Buddy” and heartfelt gospel-styled “Is It Over.” And if I didn’t love pretty much everything on this album Batiste would have won me over with the instrumental “Chopinesque” which plays beautifully with my favorite Chopin nocturnes.
