Defy the Stars

This is the first book written in first person that I have ever become totally engrossed in.  Claudia Gray sucks you into the universe of Noemi and Abel, where Earth has tried to colonize across the galaxy, and their best colony lives only to defend their world from Earth and the pollution and destruction that are destroying what is left of the planet.  This book follows the growth of the heroes while they learn more about the true situation of the galaxy, and defy all expectations to find the best solution.  Wonderful read.
