Trail of Lightning

I have to say I’ve been really excited about this one and I wasn’t let down. This dystopian fantasy features Maggie Hoskie, an indigenous monster hunter in a post climate apocalypse world, trying to walk the line without becoming a monster herself. Gods and monsters now roam the former Navajo Nation (including my favorite Trickster) and Maggie makes her living tracking the latter for hire. But something is different in her last hunt and her questions will lead her on a quest that may force her to face her past. At times brutal, exciting, and funny but always refreshingly original. I can’t wait for the sequel.
