Off to Alaska!

A glimpse into Alaskan life in the early 70s for a young doctor and his family as they encounter adversity living in the artic from the elements as well as the culture. Dr. Sims tells an almost unbelievable story from his memories of events, co-workers and patients from his year and half stint he had in Nome, Alaska working for the U.S. Public Health as the only doctor in the area. This story is amazing and tells a tale of resilience and perseverance in people that we don’t hear about too often these days.
