Holiday classics from a crossover Christian contemporary singer and American Idol alum

Christian Contemporary singer and American Idol alum Lauren Daigle offers a collection of jazz versions of mostly traditional holiday classics—including a sax heavy short take on “Jingle Bells,” and a lovely version of “Christmas Time is Here” that distinctly reminds me of a cross of Sarah McLachlan and Billie Holiday (probably my favorite on the album). I also enjoyed versions of “What Child is this”, “O Holy Night” and “Silent Night”.
