Rogues Rush In

Efficient *and* Entertaining – Get two Regency tales of hilarity and heart in the space of one!

This was a great, quick read - made even more so by the fact that it's two novellas, so you can take a break in the middle, if you like (I took mine for all the span of time it takes to get a cup of tea).

His Bride for the Taking
The first story was quirky and compelling. Tessa Dare is an all-time favorite of mine and even being so short, this story is packed full of her usual depth, witty repartee, and verve. What I loved most about this story was the #tooreal feeling of the main characters - some very familiar spousal arguments going on there, by turns hilarious and touching. Overall, nicely balanced.

His Duchess for a Day
The second story was a new to me author, and I found that her level of character writing and wit was a good match for Tessa Dare. By page count, the story is rather short, but she managed to relay an awful lot of plot despite that. It's so well conveyed, with twists and turns, compelling dialog, and I got a real sense of the whole history behind these two characters; it was a wonderful story.

I would recommend this book to those who'd like a quick read that still retains some substance to it; for people who'd like to read more than one story but don't have a lot of time; and for those who enjoy laughing out loud (in public or otherwise) and aren't embarrassed by that sort of thing.
